Frequently Asked Questions

We want it to be easy for you to come to church.  We want you to experience a great time in worship and meet friendly people who will welcome you into the family of EastSide.  We know that first-time visits to any church raise many questions and concerns.  If you don’t see an answer to your question here or on any of the specific ministry pages, please contact us in the church office by calling 770-860-0400.  Our staff would love to assist you in preparation for your visit to EastSide.

  • What does EastSide look like, people-wise? – We are a multi-cultural, multi-generational congregation that seeks to worship God in spirit and in truth.
  • What should I wear? – Dress comfortably.  We’re more concerned with meeting your needs than focusing on what you wear.  While some people do choose to wear their “Sunday best”, most people wear casual clothing.  We only ask that you be modest and appropriate in what you choose to wear to worship.
  • When do I need to arrive? – Sunday morning worship begins promptly at 10:50am.  Bible Study classes meet at 9:30am.  Plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the service/class time to allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Worship Center/Bible Study class.
  • Where do I go? – Greeters are located at each entrance to the building and are available to direct you to the Worship Center for worship, or to a classroom for Bible Study. If you have Children the Greeters will be glad to direct you where the Children’s meetings gather.
  • Will I be “singled-out” in the service as a visitor? – We want you to have a wonderful experience at EastSide and we strive to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel right at home.  The last thing we want to do is single you out or put you on the spot.  We ask visitors to fill out a Connection Card located inside of the weekly bulletin and simply drop it in the offering plate so that we can have a record of your visit.  We’ll never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way.
  • What is your worship style? – We provide a blended stylistic approach utilizing various aspects to reach the many people groups of the church and community for Christ through worship.  We do this through the use of our Worship Band, Vocal Teams, Media Teams as well as the Celebration Choir.
  • Is there handicapped / first-time guests parking? – Yes.  Please drive right up to the front of the church and you will see parking spots available for you.
  • What do I need to bring? – A Bible will help you follow along in both Worship and Bible Study.  If you have a Bible, bring it with you.  If you don’t have a Bible, copies of the New International Version Bible are located in the Worship Center for your use.
  • Is there something for my children? – Yes.  We offer age appropriate Bible Study classes and 2 Children’s Worship Services. One for our kindergarten – 6th graders and another for our 2 year old - Pre-K children.  These Children’s Worship Services coincide with our main Worship service at 10:50am.  We also offer a nursery for your younger children (infant – 1 year olds) which you may utilize.
